Lifestyle-integrated Functional Exercise (LiFE) Program
This program aims to decrease and prevent the risk of falls through improving a person's balance and strength and can be completed by simply carrying on with your everyday tasks such as brushing your teeth, washing the dishes or simply standing while waiting for the bus.
It is an evidenced based program and has had success in reducing the amount and severity of falls in people aged 70 and over, however this program can be used in anyone's schedule - no matter what age!
Some people report that exercises given to them by their Physiotherapist, Exercise Physiologist or GP take up too much time during their day and so they don't do them regularly. If this is you, or someone you know, then the LiFE Program is the exercise program you have been waiting for.
Our Senior Occupational Therapist, David, has undergone specialist training to deliver this program and can show you how to incorporate the exercises into your daily schedule ensuring that your important exercises are completed on a regular basis without it interrupting your day.
